(TAP) - Recently, the Lo Go Border Guard Station (Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command, Vietnam) detained three Chinese nationals who had illegally entered Vietnam. These individuals reported that they had escaped from a scam compound in Cambodia after being beaten and forced to work.
According to Tay Ninh Online Newspaper - the official mouthpiece of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, reported on December 11, the Lo Go Border Guard Station under the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command stated that the unit, in coordination with relevant authorities, had detained three Chinese nationals who had illegally entered Vietnam. They include: Wang Jia (born in 2005, residing at No. 18, Song Ling Street, Le Jiang Town, Hengnan County, Hunan Province); Chen Zuchang (born in 1987, residing in Guangxi Province); and Su Qian Wei (born in 1991, residing in Guangzhou Province).
Specifically, at 3:00 PM on December 10, during a patrol in the area about 800 meters from border marker 133(2)/2 (located in Hoa Loi Hamlet, Phuoc Vinh Commune, Tay Ninh Province), a task force from the Lo Go Border Guard Station, in coordination with relevant authorities, detected the three individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior. A quick inspection by the officers confirmed that the group was attempting to cross the border into Vietnam.

On the same day, Long An Newspaper - the official publication of the Tay Ninh Provincial Communist Party Committee reported that at the authorities’ office, all three Chinese nationals stated that they had gone to Cambodia seeking work but were deceived into scam centers where they were beaten and subjected to multiple electric shocks. The group took advantage of the relaxed security in the autonomous area, caused by the Thailand - Cambodia conflict, to escape and attempt to enter Vietnam.
The case is currently being handled by the Lo Go Border Guard Station in coordination with relevant units in accordance with the law.
