(TAP) - Recently, the Lang Son Provincial Police (Vietnam) arrested four foreign nationals in connection with the murder of a Vietnamese citizen on National Highway 1A, in Dong Kinh Ward (Lang Son).

According to information published on the official website of the Lang Son Provincial Police, on October 27, the Lang Son Provincial Police Investigation Agency, in coordination with professional units, tracked down and arrested four foreign nationals for allegedly killing a Vietnamese taxi driver on National Highway 1A (in Dong Kinh Ward, Lang Son City). Although the police did not specify the suspects’ nationalities, several Vietnamese media outlets (including Tien Phong Online and Vietnam Women’s Newspaper) reported that the four suspects are Chinese nationals. During the initial investigation, the suspects had illegally crossed the border into Vietnam through brokers in search of work. They later hired a taxi driven by Nguyen Van Dinh (40 years old, resident of Dao Vien Ward, Bac Ninh Province) to travel to Hanoi. During the trip, believing they were being deceived and fearing they might be trafficked, the four suspects restrained the driver and stabbed him in the neck with a knife, causing him severe injuries.
